About Us | Mō mātou
Established in 2019, Translation Bridge is already a trusted partner of governments, NGOs, international agencies, and individuals. We take great pride in providing translations that are accurate, appropriate, and culturally acceptable thanks to the expertise of our people, and not machine-based translations that are then adjusted to seem less laboured.
The importance of accurate and contextually relevant translation is keenly understood in Aotearoa New Zealand, through the importance of the two versions of our founding document; Te Tiriti o Waitangi.
Recently, when two of our founding members shared a disastrous experience through an AI-mediated translation service, they knew that something had to be done.
Translation Bridge was established as a subsidiary of veteran development organisation TTT, specifically to provide only human translation, and we remain proudly committed to this mission through the provision of only expert services, with no machine-based translation at all.
From the day of our establishment, our mission was always to utilise experts in linguistics and translation to generate the finest translations that are both accurate and fluent in context, with a read-through proofing provided by another expert. Not only is our work accurate to the content of the translated material, but it is contextually accurate to the meaning intended by the author, regardless of complexity, or the subtleties required of the language it is translated into.
Service to government organisations has been key to the growth of our organisation. We have also provided services to the United Nations and several other international agencies.
Services
Translation Bridge offers translation to and from over 150 languages, for all forms of documentation, including:
- government official reports
- business documents
- proposals and records,
- technical documents,
- health and medical documents
- legal documents,
- surveys and research
- personal correspondence.
✔ Our assurance compliance process is based on two experts for each translation, with one checking the translation of the other. The final phase, involves a native speaker to validate the cultural nuances of each translation. We are one of the few firms which has adopted this ‘best practices’ approach.
✔ We also offer design and print layout specific translation, such as through the use of InDesign and other layout tools.
✔We are recognised to offer the quickest turnaround for translations.
Full confidentiality of all client materials is maintained
All translations are conducted on a triangulated basis of verification.
All our translations are provided by expert human beings who will understand the context of your meaning. We offer NO machine-based translation.
Our clients can make up to 5 changes to their material during translation, allowing corrections to be included, and the refinement of our client’s message.
